LET US HELP YOU CREATE YOUR NEXT CELEBRATION…
The journey to virdis…
Naz creates at the intersection of design and nature. With roots in fashion, textiles, graphic design, and art direction, she found her true calling while working as a chef, nurturing organic gardens and discovering the profound connection between plants and wellbeing. A self described “crazy plant person,” obsessed with bringing nature indoors, Naz creates floral and botanical installations using locally sourced, foraged, and up-cycled materials.
Her philosophy is driven by a belief in the cognitive, spiritual, and health benefits plants & flowers engender in human-centered spaces, and she dreams of creating large-scale immersive installations that fully imbue nature into our everyday environments.
In her time off, she experiments with functional design pieces that blur the line between art and ecology. Every project—whether an intimate gathering, a large scale event or installation, is an opportunity to bring beauty, intention, and the restorative power of the natural world into the spaces where we live, work, and gather.
Regarding sourcing:
We are blessed to have such glorious abundance in California.
When sourcing for any project materials are sourced from local farmers first. Plant matter is foraged on client’s properties or in the wild urban landscape of LA when time allows. Other florals, plants and plant material that are not in season or local will be sourced commercially as needed.
In terms of materials used, no old school floral foams are used, and compostable materials over wire whenever possible. –– Proper striking of event & installation materials ensures that plant matter is composted & metal fasteners and support structures are appropriately recycled.
